Whereas in the past forwarders and their clients often had to make many phone calls or send many faxes to each other before they managed to sort out the optimum requirements for a single trip, after the creation of RAALTRANS all they had to do was enter their requirements and offers at the central point. This central point processed them and generated an overview from which the forwarders chose the solution that best suited them. It wasn’t a bad system, but only after the expansion of the international computer network could the originality of the RAALTRANS concept be utilised to the full. Although it was all a lot easier with a telephone, with the internet it’s child’s play.


A solution for every company
RAALTRANS is used not only by transport and forwarding companies, but also by manufacturing plants and service companies. This makes it easy for them to find transport capacities for their goods. Logging in and operating the databank are easy to understand even for people outside the logistics industry.
Modern applications
In order for RAALTRANS clients to be able to make the best use of the freight forwarding database of transport offers and available vehicles entered by other users and at the same time to enter their own offers, a completely unique computer program RAALTRANS Editor had to be developed. This included a number of functions to support the work of the dispatcher and the dispatcher. RAAL Caller and RAAL Android for mobile devices were gradually developed as add-ons.
However, times have moved on and in early 2024 we switched to a web-based platform, which is available at www.raaltrans.com. Now the barrier is no longer the operating system, device or location. In addition to the web, clients can use the new Android and iOS apps for mobiles and tablets to access the databank.
RAALTRANS system adopted by Europe
The RAALTRANS database of transport offers and requests is an original solution for communication in transport, which was introduced by the Czech company of the same name in the early 1990s. It has gained the trust of thousands of clients not only in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, where it has permanent offices, but also in many other European countries. Proof that this model works well and helps carriers is that it has been adopted and offered by many domestic and European companies. However, only one can boast that it was the first and has the most experience in managing and using the databank.
